On September the 24th, the turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR successfully hosted for the first time a IAWA networking event, offering the opportunity to ATR, Airbus and other aviation industry participants to exchange about the position and leadership of women in aviation, as well as diversity and inclusion. ATR, as stated by its CEO Stefano Bartoli and its Head of HR Olga Renda-Blanche, actively supports the development of women leaders in aviation and the values of IAWA. Talks given by Stefano Bartoli, Katherine Bennett – SVP Airbus UK and Board Member of IAWA – and France’s women’s rugby team Captain Gaëlle Hermet – invited as guest speaker- inspired the audience, emphasizing the importance of encouraging and supporting women in areas – such as industry or some high performance sports like rugby – where they are sparingly present at top leadership levels. All participants had the opportunity to connect and further share their individual experiences. ATR is the world leader in turboprop regional aircraft up to 90 seats and is a joint partnership between Airbus and Leonardo.
