MC Ernst is the Special Risks Underwriting Department Manager for United States Aircraft Insurance Group (USAIG). She has been with the Company since 2012. MC is responsible for underwriting domestic and international major airline, products manufacturers, space liability and leasing risks. Previously, in 2015 MC was Assistant Vice President and Assistant Branch Manager of the New York Office and in 2017, she was named Vice President. She assumed the role of Airline Underwriting Manager in 2018, and in 2020 was promoted to Senior Vice President. She assumed the role of Special Risks Underwriting Manager in 2022. Prior to joining USAIG, MC worked in Lloyds of London with XL Insurance as an underwriting assistant for their aviation team. Following her time in London, she worked with Crystal & Company as a broker placing various lines of aviation business.
 
MC graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. In 2013 she completed her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. She holds an M.B.A. in Interdisciplinary Business from St. John’s University Peter J. Tobin School of Business. She is also a Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CAIP).
 
MC is the President-Elect of the International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA). She also serves on the Airline Study Group for the International Union of Aerospace Insurers (IUAI) and is a member of the Industry Advisory Board for the Boeing Center for Aviation & Aerospace Safety.
