Marita Lintener, founder and Managing Director of Lintener European Aviation Consultancy, joins skyguide as of 1 January 2021 as the company's Head of International Affairs

Marita Lintener founded Lintener European Aviation Consultancy in 2004 and has since led public affairs and change projects for airlines, air navigation service providers, airline system providers and other key stakeholders across Europe’s aviation industry. For seven years, she was Chair of the Strategy Group of A4 airlines, the prime airline group of operational investors at European level. Marita Lintener has been instrumental in building and managing this platform. She further served, amongst others, as Senior International Relations Officer at the SESAR Deployment Manager, European Co-Chair of the EU-US Deployment Coordination Committee, acting Head of SESAR deployment for Lufthansa, and also worked as a project manager and senior consultant for Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS).

Prior to that, Marita Lintener held different senior expert and management roles at Thomas Cook AG from 2000 to 2004 and at Deutsche Lufthansa AG from 1989 to 2000.

The 56 year-old economist holds degrees from the University of Oxford Saïd Business School, the Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University Bonn and the J.W. Goethe University Frankfurt. In addition to her current role as Managing Director, she is a lecturer at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, a board member and Vice-President for Europe and Africa of the International Aviation Women’s Association (IAWA) and diversity ambassador of the EU Platform for Change of the European Commission.
