IAWA Honors Regula Dettling-Ott with the 2024 IAWA Woman of Excellence Award

The International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA), a global association committed to connecting, inspiring and leading women in the aerospace and aviation industries, is pleased to announce Dr. Regula Dettling-Ott as the recipient of the 2024 IAWA Woman of Excellence Award.

Leesburg, VA – October 11, 2024 - The International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA), a global association committed to connecting, inspiring and
leading women in the aerospace and aviation industries, is pleased to announce Dr. Regula Dettling-Ott as the recipient of the 2024 IAWA Woman of
Excellence Award. This award recognizes women who are leaders in aerospace and aviation, have demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of
women in the industries and are respected by men and women alike.

As a woman who epitomizes these attributes, IAWA is honored to recognize Dr. Dettling-Ott as the thirteenth recipient of the Woman of Excellence Award. Dr.
Dettling-Ott's global career in the aviation and aerospace field has been diverse but more importantly an inspiration to other women in the industry. Her
quick rise as an accomplished attorney and advocate for the industry speaks to her dedication to our industry. She has been a person of influence holding
positions such as Industry Relations & Government AVairs at Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), Vice President Lufthansa Group EU aVairs in Brussels,
Chair for the Performance Review Body for Air Navigations Service for the European Commission. At each job, she rose to key leadership positions, always
bringing with her and demonstrating her commitment to gender parity.

About Dr. Dettling-Ott

Prof. Dr. iur. Regula Dettling-Ott is a lawyer specialising in aviation law and policy. From 2017 until 2023 she was the chair of the Performance Review Body
of the Single European Sky (PRB), an expert body of the European Commission for the implementation of the Single European Sky performance and charging
scheme.

Between 2010 and 2016, she represented the Lufthansa Group as Vice-President EU AVairs in Brussels vis-à-vis the European institutions. Before joining the
Lufthansa Group, Regula DettlingOtt was responsible for Industry Relations & Government AVairs at Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) and worked as a
lawyer. Her main responsibilites included issues of market access for airlines, traVic rights and handling noise restrictions at Zurich airport. In her legal
practice she managed the claims handling after major accidents, representing airlines and helicopter companies and their insurers. She also represented
their legal interests during aircraft accident investigations.

Regula Dettling-Ott studied and completed her doctorate in Bern (Settlement of Investment Disputes through Arbitration - The Practice of ICSID, summa
cum laude). She studied and conducted research at Georgetown University (Washington D.C) as a Kronstein Fellow/Scholarship holder of the Swiss National
Science Foundation. In 1993 she habilitated at the University of Bern (International and Swiss Air Transport Law).

As a part-time lecturer, Regula Dettling-Ott teaches air law at the University of Bern and supervises the annual continuing education seminar for
practitioners. She regularly participates in international aviation conferences as a speaker and has published numerous articles.
