Dr. Selda Konukcu is Senior Director of Commercial Aircraft Sales at Airbus, a position she has held since August 2023. Before joining Airbus, she was the Head of Global Sales for Honeywell Connected Enterprise, covering digital sales to industrial sectors of Honeywell. Having an engineering background, Selda started her career in missile design as systems engineer; building up 20+ years of cross-functional experience over the years. Her career includes leadership roles at Honeywell, GE Aviation, and Rolls-Royce; overseeing diverse areas such as sales, marketing, strategy, business development, project management and engineering across the aerospace, technology, and various industrial sectors. 

Throughout her career, Selda lived and worked in various locations in EMEA, APAC and the US; she truly believes in the power of diversity of all we do in functions, geographical locations and backgrounds; thus, her years of work in IAWA has been as fulfilling as her experience in the aerospace and industrial world. 

Dr. Konukcu holds PhD & MSc from Loughborough University; MBA from INSEAD; and MSc &BSc in Aerospace Engineering, METU. She serves on the board of the International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA) as VP Europe; and in the Board of Advisors for Emirates Aviation University.
